Forma Futura leads SfC engagement on Johnson Controls, Becton Dickinson, Ericsson and others

The Zurich based Forma Futura Invest, one of the three Swiss members of SfC – Shareholders for Change, will send letters to seven companies in March, asking for clarification on a number of controversial cases. This will be done also on behalf of SfC, whose members manage a total of ca. EUR 25bn in assets. The targeted companies are: Johnson Controls, Stora Enso, Becton Dickinson, Ericsson, IBM, Skanska and Carrefour.
We will ask Johnson Controls, which produces equipment for buildings, to clarify its position on an alleged case of workplace discrimination“, said Doris Hauser, Head of Sustainability Research at Forma Futura. “Medical technology company Becton Dickinson is targeted for its alleged ethylene oxide emissions in the US, while Swedish construction multinational Skanska and telecommunication giant Ericsson will be asked to explain how they cope with corruption cases in which they have allegedly been involved and how they plan to avoid such controversies in the future“. The results of the engagement will be published on SfC’s website and engagement report.
