Ökoworld, an asset manager pioneer in the field of sustainable investment, joined SfC in December 2024.

By joining Shareholders for Change, ÖKOWORLD is further expanding its engagement activities. ‘It carries more weight when 20 institutional investors act together and fight for positive change in companies,’ says the company in a press release. ‘We want to play an active role within the network and work together to promote sustainability-related changes in companies,’ explains Verena Kienel, who heads sustainability research at ÖKOWORLD.

ÖKOWORLD will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2025. It is considered a pioneer in the field of sustainable investments. The ÖKOWORLD funds invest globally in companies that have a positive ethical, social and ecological impact on the environment or society through their products or services, and thus contribute to ‘a future worth living’. As of 31 December 2023, the total volume of all investment funds designed by ÖKOWORLD amounted to more than three billion euros.
